Standard Version (189 words)

According to her family, Jennie St. Thomas started stringing words into original sentences as soon as she was able to talk, before she was even able to read or write herself. She can’t remember a time when she didn’t tell stories, and she began writing them down herself as soon as she learned how.

In her teens, she began learning and practicing writing craft more systematically. But she didn’t have the courage to share her work until she was into her twenties. Her first shared work was a piece of Star Trek: Voyager fan fiction, which got a much better reaction than she’d expected. She continues to write fan fiction, which is posted at An Archive Of Our Own.

She self-published her original short story, “Whitewood,” in April 2025, and has two more stories in the upcoming anthology The Iron Rose (Two Squirrels Press, 2025). She is currently working on a novella set in that universe.

Jennie is married to author Michael Ferrara, and they currently make their home in metro Atlanta, Georgia, alongside their spoiled rescue cat. In her spare time she enjoys photography, needlework, gardening, and hiking.
