For a while, I was despairing about being able to pick my writing pace back up. But then, all of a sudden, it happened — dramatically. With reason to think it will continue.
I had a good solid month for writing in September, with the majority of my work actually not being fan fiction. That’s not to say I have any intention of stopping with the fan fiction, though! I’m just also working on other projects, and I’m looking forward to more good months.
August yielded my highest word count yet, but the majority of it was my Fan Fiction Rewrites project, so I’m not ready to call that an unqualified triumph.
I was busy during May. Just not with The Perfect Daughter, which is what I “should” have been working on. Despite that, I have a lot to look forward to in June.
Although April was a rough month and I’m frustrated at missing my overall word count goal, it was not a bad month. And I’m coming out of it with a plan and a lot of reason to expect that I’ll be able to hit my goals for May.

I reached two big milestones during March 2025, and they’ve combined to give me a boost when it comes to my writing work.
While February started out strong, it didn’t stay that way. In March, I’m giving myself an incentive and watching for a pattern.
Oh, wow. Did I ever drop the ball this month. But I have goals and a plan for February.
